# Caddy

> Caddy is your personal AI assistant that lives in iMessage. It texts first when something matters and takes agentic actions across the tools you already use — Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack, Linear, Notion, Google Drive, and more — always with human-in-the-loop approval. Caddy is free during its public beta.

Caddy's only user channel is text message -- both iMessage on iOS and Messages in Android. There is no separate app to install — you text Caddy like you'd text a person. Sign-in is via Google, then you connect Caddy to your tools and continue the conversation in Messages. You can also reach Caddy hands-free through Siri ("Hey Siri, text Caddy …").

## What Caddy does

- Proactive check-ins: monitors connected tools and texts first about important changes, deadlines, conflicts, and opportunities.
- Important email alerts: watches your inbox and texts you only when an email actually matters, with suggested next actions.
- Reminders: one-off and recurring reminders set from a simple text, with context attached.
- Daily brief and end-of-day wrap-up: short morning and evening summaries of meetings, priority messages, tasks, and loose ends.
- Calendar and scheduling: turn emails and messages into calendar events, find availability, and schedule meetings.
- Inbox triage and email replies: surface what needs a response and draft replies in your voice (it asks before sending).
- Files, expenses, and meetings: find docs across connected tools, log receipts from screenshots, and turn meeting notes into action items.

Caddy asks for approval before taking sensitive actions (sending email, creating invites, changing data). You choose which tools to connect and can disconnect them at any time.
